I totally understand the shock you get when someone else does an assessment on your child, the child you have determined to be perfect. My son with help of an assessment now recieves intervention for speech and sensory intergration disorder. I cried during the parent teacher confrence, just the thought that someone else was telling me that my child was indeed not perfect ripped through me like a tidal wave of emotions, I was sad then angered that not only does he have food allergies and asthma but this as well. In the end my beautiful, intelligant son will shine despite the test scores, he will overcome this obstacle as well. Its hard having someone test your child when you see diffrent behaviors at home then they act totally diffrent in school, but these tests aren't meant to hurt our feelings but to help the child get help if needed, better now then when they get to public school and are forever labled as special ed. !!! I am grateful for the tests this time.
